Game 2 Belongs to Trois-Rivières

The Lions of Trois-Rivières came out firing in Game 2, skating to a commanding 5–1 victory over the Toledo Walleye on Friday night to even the series at one game apiece.

Tyler Hylland opened the scoring early in the first period, setting the tone for a relentless Trois-Rivières attack. The Lions got goals from five different skaters—Hylland, Nicolas Guay, Jakov Novak, Justin Ducharme, and Kyle Havlena—while dictating the pace from start to finish.

Despite the scoreline, Toledo continued to push back with physical play and strong moments on the penalty kill. Tyler Spezia buried the Walleye’s lone goal in the first, assisted by Trenton Bliss and Colin Swoyer, giving the home crowd something to cheer for early.

Now tied 1–1, the series shifts north as the Walleye head to Trois-Rivières for Game 3. With momentum up for grabs, Toledo will aim to make a statement on the road and take back control of the series.
