Eagles Finish Strong on Road at Scheumann

Eastern Michigan (4–7, 3–4 MAC) ended its road schedule on a high note with a 24–9 win over Ball State (4–6, 3–3 MAC) Saturday at Scheumann Stadium in Muncie, Indiana, in front of 8,430 fans.
Noah Kim set the tone early, scoring on a 1-yard quarterback sneak to give the Eagles a 7–0 lead in the first quarter. The Cardinals got on the board in the second quarter with a 42-yard field goal from DC Pippin, but EMU responded quickly. Kim found Jamarien Wheeler for a 43-yard touchdown pass, and Kessinger added a 43-yard field goal to make it 17–3 at halftime.
Ball State added two more field goals in the second half, but EMU remained in control. Tavierre Dunlap’s 36-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter extended the lead to 24–6, and Kessinger’s consistent kicking proved decisive in maintaining the margin.
The Eagles showcased a balanced attack through both the air and ground, complemented by a defense that held Ball State to just field goals after the opening quarter, giving EMU a strong finish to their away slate.
