Motor City Rockers Claim 3-0 Shutout Over Danville dashers

DEC 27, 2024 – The Motor City Rockers locked down a 3-0 shutout win over the Danville Dashers on Saturday night, fueled by an outstanding 45-save performance from goaltender Ricardo Gonzalez. T.J. Sneath led the offense with two goals, while Samuel Gagnon added another, securing a statement victory at Big Boy Arena.

The opening period saw Danville pressing hard, outshooting Motor City 20-11, but Gonzalez stood tall between the pipes, keeping the game scoreless.

The Rockers broke through in the second period at 4:26, as Samuel Gagnon buried a shot off a feed from Nicholas Magill-Diaz, giving Motor City a 1-0 edge. Later in the period, T.J. Sneath extended the lead with a power-play goal at 18:55, assisted by Carson Baptiste and Cody Oakes.

Motor City continued their strong defensive play into the third period, keeping the Dashers off the scoreboard. Sneath struck again at 17:04, finishing a setup from Eli Rivers and Magill-Diaz to secure the 3-0 win.

The game also saw some fireworks in the third, with multiple fights, including Tristen Wells and Lester Brown dropping the gloves at 6:36, followed by Jonatan Wik and Avery Smith at 7:11.
