Stars Fall Short of Calder Cup Finals

The Texas Stars’ season came to a close in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals, as the Abbotsford Canucks rallied for a 4-2 victory to punch their ticket to the Calder Cup Finals.
Texas built an early 2-0 lead off goals from Matej Blümel and rookie Harrison Scott—who netted the first goal of his professional career—but momentum shifted in the final minutes of the second period. Abbotsford cut the lead in half late in the frame, then tied the game less than two minutes into the third before taking the lead for good midway through the final period.
Despite a 36-save effort from Magnus Hellberg, the Stars couldn’t slow Abbotsford’s late push. It marks the end of a standout season for Texas, who reached the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2018 and saw key development from several future Dallas prospects.
