The Eagles struck first as Tavierre Dunlap capped a 9-play, 59-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown run. Bowling Green answered quickly with Austyn Dendy’s 19-yard touchdown run, but EMU reclaimed the lead with a 27-yard field goal from Rudy Kessinger to make it 10–7 after the first quarter.

Bowling Green regained the lead in the second with another Dendy touchdown run, going into halftime ahead 14–10. The third quarter belonged to EMU, as quarterback Noah Kim connected with Nick Devereaux for a 12-yard touchdown, putting the Eagles up 17–14.

The fourth quarter saw both teams trade blows. Dontae McMillan’s 8-yard touchdown run extended EMU’s lead to 24–14, but the Falcons struck back on a 2-yard touchdown pass from Hunter Najm to Jyrin Johnson, making it 24–21. With under a minute remaining, Kessinger delivered the game-winning 44-yard field goal, sealing a 27–21 victory.

EMU’s offense was balanced throughout, combining the passing and rushing attack effectively, while Kessinger’s clutch kicking proved decisive in the late stages of the game.
