Ilitch, Gill, and Leon Fuel Offensive Frenzy for Royal Oak!

The Royal Oak Leprechauns exploded for five runs in the first inning and never looked back en route to a commanding 14–6 win over the visiting Battle Creek Battle Jacks.

The Leprechauns tallied 16 hits, including multi-hit performances from Preston Leon (3-for-5, 2B, 3 R, 2 RBI) and Jovan Gill (4-for-4, BB, 3 R, RBI). The offense put the game out of reach early, striking for 5 runs in both the 1st and 4th innings, then tacking on more late.

Pitcher Wyatt Ruppenthal held down Battle Creek through six innings of work, giving up just 1 earned run while striking out 7. The bullpen held firm despite a late push from the Battle Jacks in the 7th.

Battle Creek rallied for five runs in the 7th, but it was too little, too late against a red-hot Royal Oak lineup.
