On July 30, 2025, the Royal Oak Leprechauns and Battle Creek Battle Jacks battled through intermittent rain delays in a wild, high-scoring game at Royal Oak. Despite the weather interruptions that briefly halted play and tested the teams’ focus, both sides delivered plenty of offense in a 20-10 win for the Leprechauns.

The game started with the Battle Jacks scoring a run in the first inning, but the Leprechauns quickly responded with three runs in the second inning to take the lead. Battle Creek answered back with a strong third inning, putting up four runs and briefly taking control. However, Royal Oak exploded for five runs in their half of the third inning and added four more in the fifth, swinging momentum heavily in their favor.

Royal Oak’s offense was paced by standout performances from several players. Rhett Roeser was a force at the plate, going 4-for-6 with a double, triple, and six RBIs, consistently driving in runs throughout the game. Noah Bright also made a significant impact, scoring four times and reaching base repeatedly with singles and walks. Patrick Ilitch, Wyatt Ruppenthal, and Dylan Larkins each contributed key hits and helped keep the pressure on Battle Creek’s pitching staff.

The Battle Jacks saw solid efforts from Jovan Gill, who hit two home runs and drove in two runs, as well as Rhett Roeser, who collected four hits and six RBIs. Dylan Larkins and Danny Cook provided multiple hits and RBIs, helping Battle Creek stay competitive in a game dominated by offense.

Defensively, the Leprechauns were much cleaner, committing only one error, while the Battle Jacks struggled with five errors that extended innings and allowed Royal Oak to rack up extra runs. On the mound, the Leprechauns’ pitchers gave up ten runs but were able to keep the Battle Jacks at bay during key moments, while Battle Creek’s pitching staff had a tough night, surrendering 20 runs on 16 hits.

In the end, Royal Oak’s explosive offense and strong defensive plays proved too much for Battle Creek to overcome. The Leprechauns take the victory in a wild, high-scoring affair that showcased plenty of hitting and big moments from both teams.
