The Lions roared into ECHL history Saturday night, securing their first Kelly Cup championship with a 4-1 win over the Toledo Walleye in Game 5 at Colisée Vidéotron.

Appearing in the Finals for the first time, Trois-Rivières leaned on a dominant postseason performance from goaltender Luke Cavallin—who posted a league-best .948 save percentage across the playoffs—to close out the series in front of a record-setting home crowd.

With capacity crowds in four of the five games and a Finals performance that set new marks in the league’s storied playoff history, the Lions proved they belonged at the top.
